The Conservatory Quilt Pattern Only

Sale Price: $10.00 Original Price: $15.00

The Conservatory is my first pattern release!

This quilt pattern was inspired by lattice work, and simple stars join their centers so subtly that you wouldn’t know that were there until you looked for it. Like all good things!

This 50 × 60 throw is a great project to begin challenging yourself with. Ranked at two crows - an Attempted Murder - and meant as a beginner pattern, this quilt top will come together fast. It’s deep maroon pairs beautifully with the jewel tones, but is a stark contrast against the cream color and really makes the pattern pop. Your favorite reading chair is missing something perhaps? Or your angsty friend just got their first apartment? This pattern is quick and the instructions walk you through every step of it.

The colors for this top are all solids, and wide open spaces between allow for a chance to make your quilting a place to shine too. This pattern includes two design options at the end of them as a suggestion for a place to start. Because a quilt top still needs to be finished! So if you struggle to think of a design, want to try something new, or are just starting out, these are a great jumping off point to get you started. If you already have something in mind, I would love to see it! Tag me @thisbakerquilts and let me cheer you on!

Why This Pattern is Different: Unlike most quilt patterns that stop at piecing instructions, The Conservatory includes longarm quilting diagrams to help you decide how to finish your tops. Whether you are new to longarm quilting or looking to build your skills, you have the guidance to finish your quilt with professional results.

This also isn’t a pattern that you have to “adapt” to fit moody color palettes - it was designed from the start for deep, sophisticated tones. The pattern uses jewel tones but could also work very well with dark prints, hand-dyed fabric, or any combination that speaks to your aesthetic.

This Pattern is perfect for: Quilters who prefer moody sophisticated color palettes, anyone creating an heirloom quilt, readers and dark academia enthusiasts who want their quilts to reflect their aesthetic, quilters tired of searching for patterns that aren’t so bright and cheerful, a gift for the goth in your life, longarm machine owners seeking pattern specific quilting guidance to level up their skills.
